Hi, I'm peasina. You can call me pea if you’d like! My username is a mashup of the words "peas in a", (as in, peas in a pod-fic,) but I pronounce it pea-zeen-uh. I also go by flowerdeluce, which is the name of my main fanfic AO3.

I’m a fic writer, podficcer, and sometimes fanartist from the UK. I’m in my mid-thirties, single af, and queer! (she/them) 🏳️‍🌈 Fandom is one of my favourite hobbies and I love chatting with fellow fans. I may be slow to reply sometimes due to IRL disabilities, so please bear with me! I may also go through periods of inconsistent activity, i.e. not posting for a while, then posting a flurry of things. If I should disappear, please rest assured that I'll return eventually! 

My forever fandoms are Star Trek: The Next Generation (fave character: Deanna Troi), Pokémon, and British Comedy. I’m currently super into Our Flag Means Death (big Izzy enjoyer) and Star Wars the Original Trilogy. I love pretty much any robot character that crosses my path.

I’m addicted to fan events and exchanges! I talk about them lots on my journal, either signal boosting, posting exchange letters, sharing recaps, or linking to what I made/received. I hope to do this more in 2024. I’m always happy to explain the participation process of AO3 exchanges if you're new to them and interested, as I never would’ve gotten into them if someone hadn’t helped me initially. 

I make personal posts occasionally. Some are friends-locked, some aren’t, based on how much I feel like sharing at the time. I try to keep personal posts positive, but they may sometimes be venty.

I'm happy for anyone to subscribe/friend me. You can say hello here first if you'd like, but I won't mind if you don't.

I love that you've mentioned the translation error sketch, because a friend and I were doing an arroword just the other day and the clue was "Tourist's language manual" and we were both sat there blankly for a while, and then I thought of that sketch and tried to remember what it was called like.. Dirty ... Hungarian .. Phrasebook! And it was the answer. Thank you, Monty Python XD

My favourite Python movie is The Meaning of Life, which is probably a controversial answer, but the shocking truth is I didn't actually watch Life of Brian or Holy Grail until literally a couple of years ago. I watched Meaning of Life over and over when I was younger, practically until the tape wore out, so it has a special place in my heart for that reason. (I'm almost glad I only watched those other two recently, because I don't think I would've appreciated them as much before.) Which movie is your favourite?

I just had a peek at your sticky and ahhh, you cosplay? That's so exciting! What was your latest cosplay? Do you go to cons? I spotted you're into Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell too! I was obsessed with that fandom in 2015 (when the series came out) and am probaly due a rewatch. Do you have any favourite JSAMN ships? 💗

The Meaning of Life is a fun one! Nostalgia is of course always a factor with stuff like this, but I too really enjoy that one. Nostalgia is also a factor in my favorite: Holy Grail. That white rabbit has brought me much amusement! Though I think my absolute favorites are the sketch shows.

I do cosplay, though I can take very little credit since my super talented sister is the one who makes all the costumes - I just wear them 😅 Our latest cosplays were from the games Hades (I was Queen Persephone, my sister the Head Chef ghost) and we do go to cons here in Sweden! Do you cosplay?

Huzzah for JS&MN! The old kinkmemes got me into Childremass/Segundus so that's my main ship for that fandom, but I'm a multishipper who's always open to different character combos 😊 Childermass is definitely my favorite character of the bunch, to I'm also a fan of Stephen Black and Lady Pole. What are your favorites?

Hello again. Sorry for the delay in my reply - I've gotten overwhelmed with the response to my Snowflake Challenge post for Day Two (and am also doing a Discord event at the same time, ahh!) so my head is all over the place at the moment.

Aww, I love that the white rabbit brought you so much joy! Hilariously, I'm (mildly) scared of rabbits IRL, and it has nothing to do with the one in Holy Grail, but I think if I'd seen that as a child, I would've been even more frightened of them!! How did they make it so hilarious yet so terrifying XD

Oooh, I'm jealous that you have someone to make your costumes for you! That's the dream! How lucky :-D I haven't played Hades (yet), but I just googled that character and oooh, I bet you looked great. I do cosplay :-D I was really into cosplay for cons about a decade ago, then I stopped for a long time. I started up again last year though. I was Princess Leia :-D What's the con scene like in Sweden? If that's not an impossible question.

Were you active in the JS&MN kinkmeme at the time or have you visited more recently? I remember Childermass/Segundus being HUGE on there! Childermass is my favourite too - you have excelent taste! XD I probably could've shipped him with anyone, but I had a soft spot for Norrell/Childermass.

Absolutely no worries! I love how Dreamwidth allows for people answer things whenever they have time (+ I ended up in a similar situation with the Snowflake Challenge - a lovely problem to have 💖). I hope the Discord event went/is going well!

I actually have a stuffed animal version of that white rabbit (looks like a 'regular' stuffed animal rabbit, then you squeeze its butt and it opens up into One Big Mouth 😆) and I hopefully haven't traumatized any of my friends' children with it (they've played with it on several occasions).

My sister is crazy talented and I am super lucky to get to wear all the cool costumes she makes for me 💖💖💖💖 I don't have any public images of our Hades cosplay to share at the moment, but to show off her cool work, here's us as characters from the anime Mononoke and us as characters from the web series Critical Role (I'm on the left in both pictures). I bet your Princess Leia outfit was awesome! Have you any other cosplays you've done? Or a dream cosplay you hope to make some day? The con scene here in Sweden is pretty active! We've got several conventions, but the ones I'm most familiar with are the Swedish Comic Con in Stockholm + the biggest cosplay event of the year: NärCon in Linköping. There you'll find the Nordic Cosplay Championships with people from all over coming to compete - link to a video of last year's event that's super long, but if you're curious it can be fun to skip around in the video and see what people competed as ☺️

I lurked about the JS&MN kinkmeme when it was active, yes! Is it still around? I can't seem to find it, but my google-fu is weak. Norrell/Childermass is also such a good ship, love their dynamic 🖤 It was mostly the prevalence of "John Squared" and their ability to stay together while still having the canon timeline intact that got me hooked on that pairing (I'm a sucker for "happy" endings - though that's of course possible with C/N too, just takes a little more 'work'). Maaaan, I have so many old JS&MN fics I really need to get finished writing some day 😆

I absolutely love your cosplay pictures, thank you for sharing them :-D The Cosplay Championship video blew my mind too tbh. All the performers are so brave! Though I feel like, when you're dressed as a character you love, you can borrow bravery from them <3 I've never seen anything like that at a con here. I ran a cosplay contest once at a convention in the US, but it was very low-key compared to the one you shared. (Still very fun!)

I once cosplayed as Loki, so making his costume was pretty time consuming XD This was around 2013, so there were so many Lokis at cons around that time. I met lots of cool and lovely Loki cosplayers! My dream cosplay would be getting a custom made Starfleet uniform for Deanna. I've dressed up as her pretty much every Halloween for the last five years, in a version of this dress of hers that I made, but I want to take it up a notch :-D

It's not active anymore but the JS&MN kink meme is here: jsmn_kinkmeme. Also John Squared(!), that takes me back haha. There really were 10,000 characters in that canon called John, huh? XD And ooh you have lots of JS&MN WIPS? That's awesome. I think the fandom is still going strong, so I'm sure they'd be received well if you got back into them :D

Yay, thank you for the compliment! My sister makes excellent costumes, I just wear them and do my best to act like the character 😅 And yeah, the Cosplay Championships are CRAZY high effort - most cosplay competitions over here aren't that big, but like you say, people getting up on stage in cosplay are super brave 💖 I've helped host a smaller cosplay competition too, as well as participated in a larger one, and

Thank you for linking the kinkmeme! Even if it's not active, I've got plenty of nostalgia for it 💖 And yes, that's definitely the Fandom Of A Thousand Johns 😆 The fandom does indeed seem to still be going strong. I hope to finally contribute by posting fic for it one of these days!
