Three Weeks for Dreamwidth

[community profile] 3weeks4dreamwidth is celebrating Dreamwidth's anniversary!
Come join in for fun, memes, activities, and more ♥

This looks fun, even if I'm not 100% sure what the event is. XD The comm description says threeweeks "used to be a super fun time, with a whole flurry of activity. Let's bring it back \o/" so I'm guessing that means anything goes as long as we're having fun and doing something fannish :-) Does anyone remember previous years of this event? Got any stories to share? I'd love to run something podfic-related but have no ideas at current. (If anyone has any, do let me know - let's brainstorm!)

The first event created as part of threeweeks that caught my eye is this icon request fest! I'm definitely going to be requesting some super obscure things, because why not, and if my hands behave for long enough, I'll try making some for people too :-)

Small Batch Icons Request Fest 4.0 at [community profile] smallbatchicons
Come and request up to five icon sets with different themes!

Voice Team
There are four days left to sign up to this year's full round of [community profile] voiceteam, a Discord-based team scavenger hunt for the podfic community. For those of you I know like podfic but don't record it yourself, I'll borrow the answer from their DW's FAQ question, "Do I have to be a podficcer to join?":

No! You just have to love podfic. There are non-voice ways to participate in audio fanworks for points, like contributing writing, beta, or graphics. There will also be some challenges that can be fulfilled without audio fanworks. No one has to do every single challenge.

From my experience participating in three out of the four Voice Team rounds, this event is super welcoming to new podficcers, podfic lovers, and those who might not be able to or want to record anything. The first time I took part I had covid, so I could only record a couple of things near the end. I didn't feel like I was missing out and got points for things like: commenting on podfic, making covers, editing my team's audio, making tutorials, making memes(!), even brainstorming ideas for podfic events. There was a great challenge that year to listen to a pod and doodle/draw while listening - I enjoyed many a relaxing hour with that one.

Jukebox Treats
Assignments are out for [community profile] jukebox_fest, a fic, art, and podfic exchange for song and music video canons. There were a number of podfic requests this year that could be of interest to some of the podficcers following me. There was even a request for "Podficcer's Choice of Fandom" which is wonderfully open. Treats are welcome.

Unconventional Fanworks Exchange
Nominations are open for [community profile] unconventionalfanworkex, a gift exchange for fanworks besides traditional fic and art. This is one of my favourite exchanges and I'm raring to take part again this year. It's always lovely to see requests from people who are excited about having podfic made of their work (or who have particular works in mind they'd love to hear podficced.) Some of the loveliest comments I've received on my podfic have come from my UFX recipients, so it has a special place in my heart!
