Not really XD Though I'm slightly surprised by the amount of Will/Hannibal. I think that's thanks to lots of events where people have requested podfic of them plus iomixit's Hannibal podfic series! 

Dear Podficcer,

This letter was originally written as part of a voiceteam challenge ‘Hello Stranger’, in which we were encouraged to update our podfic-specific letters. I'd been meaning to do this for a while, so I’m grateful for the challenge appearing at just the right time. I'll use this letter as a catch-all for podfic-specific challenges I sign up for if I don't write an exchange-specific one. If I haven't added any extra details besides fandom and ship, it's because I'll be happy with anything!

If you're thinking of podficcing something for me, thank you so much. I’m going to love it!

***PODFIC LIKES

• Gen to mature rated stories.
• Background music or sounds/ambience throughout. Example: something set on the Enterprise having ship engine ambience throughout.
• IRL background noises – It makes me feel really cosy when I can hear the environment around the podficcer, such as their cat meowing, a train passing, or them pausing to take a sip of water.
• SFX & soundscapes – From having a sound indicate section/chapter breaks to reproducing sounds mentioned in the story, I’ll love it. (I also love podfics without SFX, so don’t feel like you have to include them.)
• Repods – If you find something you’d think I’d like but it’s been recorded before (even by me or as a gift for me) please don’t feel like you can’t gift it to me.
• Podfics with streaming options – My setup makes downloading tricky, so I’d appreciate being able to stream my gift if possible.
• Unconventional formats – Epistolary, mission reports, meta & essays, etc. (Note: I’m not keen on oral not!fic.)
• Image descriptions – If there’s imagery/art in the work you record, I’d love to hear a description of it. The more detailed the better.
• Whispered/ASMR style recordings.

Please note: I have hearing issues (tinnitus) and can be extremely bothered by sudden loud noises. Yesterday was the reveal of the first ever Leading Ladies PodFest - a collection of short podfics focusing on female characters. Feast your ears on the collection here. You can click the covers above to listen to the podfics I created for the event :-)

I also made a podfic for Femslash February Podfic Edition, which gathered over 50 fabulous F/F podfics during the last month! 'A Flower to Remember You By' is a beautiful story about Deanna meeting an original female character on a planet she's stranded on. I loved podficcing it.

Speaking of Deanna... I mention this in the notes of 'Heal Thyself' above, but I'm really hoping that AO3 will make The Goddess of Empathy (Deanna's holodeck character) a canonical character on the archive soon. I'd be so happy!! The number of works featuring her is growing steadily, so I have my fingers crossed 🤞

In non-femslash news (but still February-based), the Candy Hearts Exchange revealed on Valentine's Day and I was lucky enough to get two wonderful gifts. The first is this gorgeous selection of artworks featuring Galarian Stunfisk, a Pokemon I've come to love a great deal since I started playing Pokemon Go last year. The artist also added some of my other favourite Pokemon, including Magnemite, so I was over the moon obviously. The second is an Ed/Izzy triple drabble (🥳) that could definitely do with more love! I wrote this Loki/Mobius post-canon fix-it (kind of fix-it???) where Mobius gets a chance to say goodbye to Loki. It's a sad one, but I had a blast writing it.

The 28th of December unexpectedly became the most Deanna Troi day ever for me, when reveals for startrekholidays happened and I received a parcel from an online friend!

First, here's my (extremely NSFW) gift for Star Trek Holidays, featuring Deanna/The Goddess of Empathy (the holodeck character Barclay invents using Deanna's image.) It's absolutely breathtaking.

After waking up to that beautiful art, the doorbell rang and the postman had my (slightly) late Christmas parcel from my friend! We're doing a craft swap, where we each make something for the other in my medium of choice (shrinkie dink keyrings.) For our next swap, it's her turn to choose the medium. Because I got sick, I haven't finished mine yet, but she's being very patient ❤️

In other news, voiceteam is going well so far :-) I've recorded more than I expected to be able to manage and am having fun! I'm back to work tomorrow though, boo, so I'm going to cram as much fandom in today as I can. I hope everyone had a great Christmas.
