Podfic makes up the majority of my fannish output these days, though I've been pottering about in fandom since the early noughties making fic, art, vids, gifs, crafts, comms/kink memes/fansites, and whatever is inspiring me at the time. I love making things and celebrating things made by others, running and/or participating in fandom events, and making fandom friends.
For a list of my current and forever fandoms, my Dear Podficcer letter is usually pretty up to date.
Sometimes, I'm slow to reply to comments. I always will eventually, and I appreciate every comment I get! I apologise and am trying to improve.
Friending Policy: I'm more than happy for anyone to subscribe to me or DM me to talk about our shared fandoms! Feel free to introduce yourself on this post first, but no pressure. I normally only add people to my circle (aka grant them access to occasional locked posts) if we've communicated in some way first. Feel free to unsubscribe at any time; this is not something I track.

I feel incredibly lucky to be in a position where my hobby + kind fans (+ the mods' generous time creating and maintaining fan auctions!) = money in a charity's pocket. ❤ I regularly take part in charity fan auctions such as![[community profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/community.png)
fandomtrumpshate, and one-off auctions as they appear like equalityauction, and sunflower_auction. I sometimes offer a limited number of podfics for charitable donations outside the auction format here on my journal and will probably do that again, free time permitting. Feel free to subscribe if that's something you're interested in, or just reach out whenever and see if I'm up for it! I usually crosspost my my works made for charity here and tag them with Charity Pods.

Looking for a beta reader/listener?
I'm open to beta requests, just shoot me a DM! I'm happy to beta fic for SPaG and/or Brit Pick for any fandom. I'm also open to podfic beta listening, assisting with audio editing, or generally cheerleading your podfic projects! For those interested, this is what I'm using to source, record, edit, and post my podfic:
- Fandom Permission Statement highligher tool - helps me easily filter works by authors with podfic permissions listed on their AO3 profile by highlighting their username green and/or filtering out works without permission. This is a lifesaver and a great reason why you should add a permission statement to your profile and add yourself to fpslist.org if you haven't already!
- Mic: Blue Snowball from Dec' 2021. (Previously I used a Yanmai SF-777.)
- Software: Audacity (to record and edit), Premier Pro (for multivoices mainly), Photoshop (to make covers).
- Editing plugins (for Audacity): 'Punch, Copy, Paste' (lets you paste silence over a selection without changing the selection size), 'deClicker' (helps remove mouth clicks), and most of the steps in jocundasykes's extremely helpful tutorial here!
- Sound effects: I don't use them that often, but when I do I get them from BBCfx, Pixabay, or Freesound.
- AO3 Podfic Posting Helper browser extension - autofills the original work's fields and adds podfic-related tags. Here's the Firefox version.
- Hosting: archive.org - It's free, there are no space or content limitations, it allows for streaming and downloading, and it's reliable. My library is here.
