Podfic Cover Icons
![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
I was a bit stuck with the
voiceteam challenge, 'Bring Your Work to Fandom Day' until I noticed that you could use skills from a non-podfic related hobby instead of what you do for a living. Whatever I create has to be related to an audio fanwork I've made (or listened to), so how about every pod I've made?! I love making icons and really don't do it enough these days, so I'm glad to add to my icons tag here.
What I did:
- Selected one image from each of my moodboard podfic covers (85 covers)
- Cropped, resized, sharpened, etc.
- Arranged them by colour!
I chose the single image from each cover on a variety of factors. Which image looked like it would make the best icon? Which was my favourite? Which was the least fandom-specific image that more people might enjoy? Under the cut are two sets of icons that anyone may use freely. There are also some of my thoughts about these icons and the covers that didn't make the cut at the end. (Once again, Voice Team has me feeling proud of my covers. Yay!)

Thinky Thoughts
Putting this together made me realise how much I apparently love orange/yellow covers. Just look how many there are?! Barely any green covers too, for shame. What was most interesting for me was noticing things I go to a lot when gathering images. My most used images are neon lights, drinks, space, hands, and food. Another thing I realised is, despite there being 85 images here, I could easily tell you exactly which podfic they go with. I think that's pretty neat.
As for non-moodboard covers, I had a handful made for me by Voice Team teammates and other pods I've been part of were organised by someone else, covers included. The one full cover I made for myself is for a Night at the Museum meta I didn't think matched the moodboard style. That makes up for the 10+ missing covers from this post, as I'm currently at 93 AO3 works (so close to 100, ahh!)
