This is my Tumblr art inspiration blog that I sporadically update. Basically, I reblog art that I think looks pretty. I made this tag especially for this exchange with examples of art styles that I like (not exhaustive!) I also have this tag for colour schemes that particularly appeal to me. I love art featuring objects that kind of float around the characters, and here are some examples of that.

For anything you create for me, I’d also be really interested in seeing stuff like initial sketches, work-in-progress images from beginning to end, references you used, or anything you’d like to share with me about your artistic process. I find it fascinating and learn a lot from things like that.

A silly 90s sports parody film by David Zucker about the fictional sport of BASEketball. The film is set in an alternate universe where competitive sports became so commercialised nobody watches them anymore. Coop and Remer (best bros since childhood) invent BASEketball and it’s a massive success. Trials arise for both them and their team, putting their relationship on the line. (1 hour 48 minutes)

❤️ LOVE FOR THIS CANON

These dorks are ridiculous and I just want them to be happy, though I love their angsty fallings out too, especially when they kiss and make up! This is the crackiest canon ever, so I’m fully prepared for my gift to be a wild ride. Crack treated seriously would also be lovely and is a favourite of mine.

I love these two badly flirting, neither of them understanding their feelings for the other (or realising that making out with your best friend might mean something), and jealousy getting caught between their relationships with the fairer sex. I also love fluff and domestic scenes, tenderness, bed-sharing, cuddling, hair brushing and all that schmoopy stuff. Also, yes please to smut if you’re so inclined.

But wait, this is a “sports” film! I know absolutely nothing about baseball or basketball (seriously, the extent of my knowledge is: they both have a ball) but I love the idea of BASEketball. I love the Beers’ home and away kits, the psyche-outs, the weirdly constrictive rules and bizarre theme nights, and the opposing teams with their weird mascots. The film is set in an interesting alternate universe where BASEketball is the only remaining competitive sport; worldbuilding around that would be great.

I’d love something that fleshes Coop and Remer out. What if Remer has a special interest he’s super knowledgeable about?—he does carry that little notebook around with him everywhere to jot down cool things he learns. Maybe Coop is really into making stuff, seeing as he made his own La-Z-Boy ball. Tell me more about them!

My standard tarot card disclaimer is that I know nothing about tarot cards besides thinking they’re pretty. That’s why I’d love you to tell me about the symbolism of your piece if you feel comfortable, and there’s no such thing as too much information! I’ll be *chin hands* about everything you want to tell me about your card(s).

Traditional/Western tarot style cards preferred. My favourite is the Rider-Waite deck, and I like the Marseilles deck’s aesthetic too. I don’t have any particular card in mind for any of my requested characters.

I love the picture cards in playing card decks, especially when they’re not symmetrical (like, one character one way up and another character the other, or one side of a character’s personality on each side, even different outfits.) I think a Joker card would also really work for either of these two. Or both! There’re two jokers in decks, right? Their player numbers could be a cool element (Coop is 44, Remer is 17.) I’d also love to see a playing card back design.

I would also love a Pokemon TCG style card for the Trading Card opt-in, though I'm only really interested in the original 150 pokes please. (Ignore my crossover DNW if you run with this.) Which pokemon would Coop and Remer have? What would their moves be (and would Psyche-Outs be involved in this fusion universe?) What about trainer cards and items, coins, that are BASEketball/Pokemon themed?

I’m also thinking… baseball card style? Like, how cool would that be!

Coop gets a sports injury and oh no, he can’t use his hands! Cue Remer having to look after him. This could be soft and sweet and intimate, especially if Coop’s being a total grump about being injured or Remer isn’t a particularly good caretaker but he’s trying his best. Bonus for mutual pining while caretaking. Double bonus for Remer having to spoon-feed Coop.
Outsider POV where Squeak works out that they're dating (before Coop and Remer do?) or walks in on strange situations. Maybe he's seen them making out loads of times and just thought it was a Them thing, but what makes the penny drop one day?
Beerswear-related angst. Tell me all the things Remer did with his new fame/money and how Coop felt about it. I love jealous, pouty Coop!

Two films set twenty years apart (1996 and 2016) centred upon alien invasions of Earth. Brackish and Milton are scientists who work at Area 51. They have minor roles in the first film (note: watch the extended version of the first film or most of their scenes are cut out, boo) and slightly larger roles in the second, where they’re also revealed to be a couple. Brackish is the total Mad Scientist™ type who’s enthusiastic about everything, while Milton is the calm dude who tries and fails to rein him in. (4 hours, 40 minutes total)

❤️ LOVE FOR THIS CANON

These two are so cute! Anything that fleshes out their characters more than the films manage would make me so happy. Pre-slash, pining, getting together, established relationship, post-canon, missing scenes, smut, fluff, angst, science boyfriends solving an alien mystery together – I want it all! (For smutty fic, I’d prefer Milton to top, please.)

Milton’s interest in orchids and knitting is lovely – anything to do with his hobbies will make me happy. I love Brackish’s humour and how giddy he gets about aliens, space, and technology. Fluff and h/c are a favourite of mine for these two, as is Milton doing doctory things and Brackish recovering from his coma. Yay to bonding over science, an “oh no, he’s hot” moment for either of them, and awkward pre-slash with the hot new doctor checking Brackish over.

I’m also into having my heart broken, so anything about Milton’s reaction to Brackish’s coma—immediately afterwards, during the long wait until he regains consciousness, decorating his room and visiting him while slowly losing hope, the difficulty of his recovery—would be appreciated, as would Brackish suffering from PTSD after his alien attack.

I’d appreciate any AU scenario where Brackish’s coma lasts 73 days instead of 7,300 (or two years instead of twenty, or two weeks… or however long you want that dramatically reduces the time they’re apart.) Or keep it canon or ignore it completely, I don’t really mind. I’d also prefer Milton to live at the end of Resurgence. Basically, ignore canon timelines all you want!

Milton tries to think of clever, subtle ways to ask Brackish to marry him, but they keep going over his head. How does he get him to take the hint? Where do they go on their honeymoon? Heeee.
Area 51 extracurricular activities. Milton joined a knitting class, so what other classes/clubs are there? Is there an Area 51 book club? Do Brackish or Milton run any groups? What if a pining Milton joined a club just because Brackish attended regularly or vice versa?
Brackish mysteriously keeps catching colds or getting “sprains” just so he can visit the hunky new doctor he has a crush on. Hehe.
Milton has trouble growing plants/flowers/herbs/tomatoes/something in Area 51’s artificial lighting, and Brackish finds a way to help via science or bending the rules. (This could be cute if it was pre-relationship too, with Brackish super eager to help out the guy he’s crushing on!)
Against his colleagues’ advice, Milton watches the recording of the alien autopsy that put his lover in a coma. Studying every detail until it becomes an obsession, he finds a way to counteract Brackish’s perplexing slumber.

Tell me more about Brackish's connection to the alien hivemind. What can he see, hear, feel? When he ended up scrawling all that alien text on the walls of his hospital room, what would it have been like for Milton if he'd found him?
Milton cooks for Brackish when they're dating (maybe their first date?), ends up accidentally making him something he's allergic to, then has to treat him to make him better. If Brackish was too shy or embarrassed to mention he’s having an allergic reaction, that’d be adorable.
Milton helps Brackish eat while he’s recovering from his coma. I’d love him to spoon-feed him.

Octavius and Jedediah Smith are miniatures from Roman and Old West dioramas who begin as enemies, then become inseparable. There are rescue missions, hand holding and sweetness, Octavius being obvious about his attraction to Sir Lancelot, and awesome magical elements. (5 hours total)

❤️ LOVE FOR THIS CANON

These two are so freaking adorable. While I will love silly fluff for them, I’m also into having my heart broken. I’d love some angst, peril, one of them getting hurt (Octavius preferred), whump, one of them thinking the other is dead, hurt/comfort, and anything that doesn’t fit the usual happy tone for fic for these two that you might come up with. Basically either end of the fluff to pain scale is good with me. I love the fact that they were enemies for so long, too. There’s such potential for “I don’t know if I want to punch you or kiss you”, hatesex, fight porn, bloody noses, “oops we were fighting and now you’re on top of me”… all that good stuff.

These two + clothing porn is a dream. I love their outfits a tonne and will thoroughly enjoy loving descriptions of them or either of them having a total Thing for how the other dresses. I particularly like: the intimacy of Octavius taking off his helmet, the same thing for Jed’s *~gloves~*, Jed from the waist down in general (gun holsters, chaps, leather and how it smells, all those buckles and lacings, boot spats, and any possibility of him wearing spurs will make my dreams come true), that flash of Octavius’s bare thighs heh, their weapons (especially if you can find a way for Jed’s guns to work), Octavius’s CLOAK wow yes. Basically, I love, love, love their clothes!

I’d absolutely adore something with Jed and Octavius trying human-sized chocolate/candy. Do they get messy? Do they feed sugary things to each other? Does one of them have a sweet tooth while the other doesn’t? What’s it like being smaller than the average chocolate bar? Would an individual sprinkle be about the right size for them? (Note: I don’t know much about American candy, so I’d appreciate any details of the taste/texture/ingredients/etc. I’d appreciate that anyway, but if you only mention the candy’s name, I probably won’t know what it is without Google.)

Tell me about the magic that brings them to life. Can it do anything else to them? How did the tablet’s corrosion affect their behaviour/mental state? What happens when they go into paintings/photographs that might be in the museum? I like that they supposedly have memories of who they were modelled upon, too. The magic is just that clever! If you want to get deep with American/Roman history and cultural practices (and related hang-ups these two might have), that’s cool. I’m also totally happy with them simply being little figurines in love who aren’t affected by those “past lives”, who are their own people and/or learning to be themselves.

I love Octavius gushing over Jed’s blue eyes (and Jed being jealous over Octavius’s comments on Lancelot’s), but I’d also really appreciate it the other way around too because Steve Coogan’s eyes are gorgeous. I’ve discovered, after reading so much fic for these two, that I also have a huge thing for Octavius blushing. If you feel like including him blushing in my gift, I’d like that a lot.

Please don’t drastically change them (e.g. full-size human AU.) I like these little guys just the way they are. I’d also prefer Octavius not to have his name shortened to anything besides the occasional Octy (though any other pet names not involving his name are lovely.) Jedediah being “Jed” is fine! Also, a year is added to my life whenever I read a fic where Octavius refers to Jed as “my love” or his “beloved”.

I’d love some fandom statistics/analysis. Stuff like: breakdowns of the most popular tags for Jedtavius fic, what month/year was the pairing’s most popular in terms of fic output, who else do Octavius and Jedediah get paired with and how often, how many smutfics feature Octavius bottoming (I’ve seen people mention that it’s popular in comments before, but how popular?), how many fics feature Octavius blushing (just kidding… or am I?), what’s the average length of a fic for this pairing, what’s the total wordcount for them on AO3, what’s the longest running WIP, what other mediums are on AO3 besides fic. I could go on. Trust me, no fact will bore me. I love this kind of stuff!

I’d love something that delves deep into what interests you about this pairing. Perhaps historical accuracies/inaccuracies in the film/fanon, looking in detail at Octavius’s armour or Jed’s pistols and why they might not work (while his gunpowder does), tell me about what kind of miniatures you think they might be (metal, plastic, something else) and who might’ve painted them/donated them to the museum.
