Challenge #2: Tunnel of Love
Journaling: The romance of summer! What do you love?
I thought I'd take this one literally by making a tier list of my endings with all 100 dateable characters from Date Everything!
This was my first time playing a dating simulator, but a friend of mine was obsessed so I wanted to see what all the fuss was about.
This post won't really mean anything to anyone who hasn't played it, but if you're interested, the premise is you're trapped inside your house and able to awaken (and date) the personifications of objects, furniture, and appliances. They have their own little hidden world you can access and it's really well done. It's the most bisexual game ever, so funny, has wonderful voice acting, countless puns and silly situations, and I really enjoyed my playthrough.
As part of the gameplay, after interacting with the different characters for a certain number of days, you can get a Love, Friendship, or Hate Ending with them, based on how you interact with them. Some of them are very fussy, so you might aim for a love ending but make a few wrong choices on the way that lock you forever into friendship.
Here's how I did (click to embiggen):

I'd love to know your favourite characters if you played it! Do you agree with any of my placements?
As you can see, I skewed heavily on the love and friendship side than hate. Some of those characters down in the Hate tier I barely got to speak to becauseI messed up. For example: Chance instantly hated me because I didn't want to play D&D with him lol.
I ended up writing two Date Everything! fics as part of Battleship, which I kind of expected honestly. I also podficced a wonderful story that was written by a fellow Strawberry! Here's a link:

[Podfic] To lean on (20mins)
Multi, Betty/Player, Farya & Player, Daisuke Dishware/Player, Mateo Manta/Player, Abel
The player gets sick. They're not very good at hiding it - at least not from this particular household.
Thank you for reading!

Date: 2025-08-26 05:50 pm (UTC)Btw, do you know if there is a time limit for how many in-game days you can play? I'd google it, but I'm worried about accidentally stumbling upon plot-spoilers π

Date: 2025-08-26 06:48 pm (UTC)There isn't a time limit as far as I know. I can't remember how many in-game days I played (or how that was even tracked really), but I talked to everyone as much or as a little as I wanted before deciding to move onto the next stage. It's possible to end the game "early" if you want to. It'll be obvious when and how that happens though, so don't worry about doing it accidentally.
Is anyone capturing your interest so far? :D

Date: 2025-08-28 07:16 pm (UTC)It's very early days still (as in _very_, I'm not through my first in-game week yet) but thus far I'm intrigued by my bed, my towel and literature πI'm sure I'll enjoy others as well, once I meet them. I'm trying the strategy of "focus on spending time with the first characters you meet so you can level up skills" - cause the player character sure needs all help in that department they can get π
Will return for further discussion when I'm more knowledgeable π
