My first time taking part in the
Informal Twitter Podfic Exchange was a success and totally worth making a Twitter for (though I need to delete it ASAP, as I'm already getting kind of addicted to doom scrolling!) I'm also really glad I recorded my podfics before I got sick.
This event is
huge, and this was its 10th year! Over six days worth of podfic was created, wow, and I really enjoyed scrolling through the heap of podfics posted on their 2020
masterlist and
treats masterlist. There's also the
AO3 collection if you want to check that out, but not everything is crossposted there yet and might not ever be.
I was lucky enough to get the most fabulous bounty of podfic from the amazing
shadow_ravin, who I also created for! You can find all these pods on the
amplificathon masterlist linked above. (Ctrl + F 'RavenInked' to find the pods!) Ravin recorded one of my favourite stories ever:
Edenic [Data/Lore - Star Trek: TNG]. Seriously my mouth dropped open when I realised what story it was! I've listened to it loads now, and even submitted two
Synesthesia Challenge works for
voiceteam for it. The challenge was listening to a pod and creating a visual interpretation of the vocal performance. I made a physical collage and a digital moodboard and had the best time :-)
Ravin also recorded one of my stories, which was such a delight to listen to - it'd been so long since I'd re-read that one, it was like listening to a brand new story. That one is
No Substitute [Data/Tasha - Star Trek: TNG]. Some extra special bonus podlets Ravin gifted me were also for Star Trek: TNG and were all about Lwaxana Troi, one of my favourite characters from the series! <3 Those are,
Complications of State, and
Discussions on Family. Thank you, Ravin!
For Ravin, I recorded
this Hannibal (TV) drabble collection that had me looking up several pronunciation guides XD I also made some Star Trek: TNG treats for
yourgrantaire that you can find
here and
here.
Now I'm off to listen to more lovely podfic from ITPE!
