wilfriede is so good at giving serious scenes extra gravity and tension through her reading, and voicing evil characters :P This one had my heart pounding on first listen!

This was a gift for me that specifically and wonderfully caters to my like for "room ambience/background noise/life sounds around the podficcer". FlowerParrish rolls a dice to choose the stories from the drabble collection to read, chats to zir partner and dogs, and overall creates a podfic that's a 7-minute doorway into zir life, and I just adore it. It's so special.

Star Trek: The Next Generation, Lore & Bruce Maddox, Mature (Graphic Depictions of Violence)
GodOfLaundryBaskets has a skill for making every word in a story feel impactful, and that's a great match for this extremely messed up fic about Lore being an utter terror, that honestly gives me chills every time I relisten.

Star Trek: The Next Generation, Data & Lore & Noonian Soong, Gen
One of the most soothing podfics in the world, with an almost children's storyteller vibe to the delivery style. There's chill background music throughout, which adds to the ambience and almost makes you feel part of the scenes when you listen.

What We Do in the Shadows (TV), Nandor/Guillermo, Explicit
The sheer number of pitch-perfect character voices (all with different accents) in this podfic is phenomenal. It's like the characters are speaking through exmanhater and it's mesmerising and kind of mindblowing XD

Severance, Irving Bailiff/Burt Goodman, Mature
A wonderful gift for me as part of this year's Battleship! FallacyFallacy reads with such a pretty melody to their voice. Knowing this pod came together thanks to the podfic-positive vibes in Team Strawberry, and that it's one of FallacyFallacy's first podfics, makes it feel all the more special to me ^^

I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream, AM/Ted, Explicit (Choose Not to Warn)
This podfic perfectly delivers the hopeless, never-ending situation Ted has found himself in. armadillomania is so good at pacing that builds tension and smoothes out horror so it's more palettable, with emphasis in all the right places to leave his words sticking with you!

Jennifer's Body, Jennifer/Needy, Explicit
Tipsy_Kitty's gentle delivery is always a delicious contrast to darker stories. I was delighted she had recorded podfic for this pairing, which I only just got into this last week, and this one was the perfect introduction to the fandom for me. Gorgeous, sensual, and beautifully made!
